With transfer syntax .91, is there a way to control compression ratio?

Using the gdcm plugin I’m able to transcode incoming study to .90, .91 With .91 if I choose to compress more aggressively with lossless compression, is there a way to do that?
How does it currently compress with .91 syntax?

Hi,

This Transfer Syntax is actually handled by the GDCM plugin and, there is currently no mechanism in the plugin interface to configure the lossy quality. This would actually require an extension of the plugin SDK.

I have added it to the GDCM todo list but you should not expect it soon.
