Unable to preview Cine Angiography or Echocardiography images

Greetings

First , May i congratulate and express my gratitude to you for making Orthanc available and simple to use.

I am a practising Cardiologist with interest but no formal training in IT or computer language.I have evaluated and experimented with many minipacs system, Orthanc is the best. i am sticking with this one.

I have had a lot of issue in viewing angiography and echocardiography files via pacs search function .

Background:

1.Set up Orthanc successfully and able to receive images from 2 modalities ( angio and echo (uS)
2. Set up another Orthanc on a different computer and able to echo test the remote computer successfully. Able to send and received studies form each other ( see screen shot) see 1
3. All firewalls are turned off see 2
4. Installed web plug in (orthancviewer ) see 3 and able to see this on the web ( see screen shot) see configuration file

PROBLEM

Cannot view the images via PACS search - all recommended DICOM viewer have been installed ( Gingko, slicer , medlnria) and tested.

The orthanc web viewer plugins only display the first frame of each cine ( see 4. screen shot and sample of dicom file attached) . Jason configuration file are also attached.Sample DICOM attached

The best dicom viewer ( simplest and quickest to view angiography ) so far is RADIANT http://www.radiantviewer.com/. RADIANT can read orthancstorage folder and display cine absolutely fine see 5 and 6 .

Search function to the orthanc server however can only display the LIST STUDY BUT NO IMAGES AVAILABLE , see 7 . ECHO to radiant failed.( THE SAME ISSUE WERE OBSERVED IN ALL THE RECOMMENDED VEIWER ( Gingko, slicer , medlnria) . ( NO IMAGES AVAILABLE VIEWABLE VIA PACS SEARCH DESPITE SUCCESSFUL ECHO)

It seemes that orthanc can only forward the list of patient but not the full study. The RADIANT DICOM VIEWER IS INTALLED in the same computer as the orhtanc server.

Have gone through the list of "Troubleshooting DICOM communications" but DONT UNDERSTAND

1 :"have a look at the fourth parameter that can activate some patches for specific vendors."

Hello,

For future reference, as discussed in another thread in this discussion group, your problem stems from the fact that the Web viewer does not include support for multiframe images (including cine).

I have updated the FAQ to clarify things:

Could you provide me with some insight as to the reason a dicom viewer such as Radiant could read and display the studies well from Orthanc server via “search the Orthanc folder options” BUT cannot import or display images Via searching the Pacs options ( List of patients and studies displayed correctly but no images) see screen shot. This problem is replicated with all other dicom viewer ( sliceer, Medlinc etc ) , i am sure i am not setting up configuration correctly . json file attached.

I unfortunately cannot provide support by myself for all the existing third-party imaging tools that are non-libre. In the present case, Radiant is a freeware, which implies that it is not a free and open-source (libre) software.

Maybe someone on this list has experience with Radiant. Otherwise, please get in touch with Radiant support.
