Toshiba Zexira and Orthanc

Hi all!
Back to https://groups.google.com/g/orthanc-users/c/CQXdsbjzi-0/m/M0O5_TF8BQAJ

After investigation on software and documentation got next:

  1. Login to technician account
  2. Run Main Software
  3. Go to “Settings” → DICOM configuration tab (visible only tech account)
  4. Dicom storage and select our Orthanc node.

See settings on photo:

As result we have normal picture.

Left image - before, right image after changing settings at software

What exactly did you change ? Allow windowing ? Automatic Windowing, etc ? It must have been ‘inverted’ by default originally ?

Seems gamma correction

Hello,

What is the issue exactly? Is it related to Orthanc or to your modality? Is there something that should be done in Orthanc? In either case, don’t forget to also provide a sample, possibly anonymized DICOM file.

Kind Regards,
Sébastien-

Very dark images. I asked local Toshiba service and they told: “Make settings like for another PACS. We usually make it (like on picture) at another locations”. That’s all.

As written above: “Don’t forget to also provide a sample, possibly anonymized DICOM file.”

it’s a continue of https://groups.google.com/g/orthanc-users/c/CQXdsbjzi-0/m/M0O5_TF8BQAJ

Maybe, but I still cannot find the DICOM file in this previous thread.

For example, on default steetings

Hello,

Thanks for providing the image. I have just checked its DICOM tags (cf. attached XML), and it contains nothing to correct this “darkness.” I see no private tags that could have been generated by your vendor. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Other free and open-source viewers that are fully independent of Orthanc/DCMTK (such as gdcmviewer or ImageJ) display your image the same way as Orthanc. The Stone Web viewer of Orthanc properly selects the windowing that is embedded in the DICOM tags (i.e., 104000\51552).

As a consequence, you are most probably not appropriately exporting the image to DICOM. There might be additional options at the console of your imaging modality. Get in touch with the commercial support of Toshiba, you pay them to assist you in such contexts.

Regards,
Sébastien-
