Hi,
Compared to the Stone viewer, the Osimis viewer could preload all the frames of a study, so that it is possible to quickly view all the frames without waiting for buffering. In Stone, looks like it starts buffering at a frame level only and just when that frame is opened. Is there any configuration on Stone viewer to enable complete preloading of a study?
Also, on mobile phone, in Osimis viewer we could just click on the right side to move to next frame, but in Stone it looks like we have to use the buttons, is it possible to customise the controls?
Hello,
No, the Stone Web viewer is precisely designed for teleradiology applications with a limited network bandwidth.
Note that the Osimis Web viewer has been deprecated for a long time: Consequently, do not hesitate to check out the VolView and OHIF plugins if you want an alternative to the Stone Web viewer, if network bandwidth is not an issue in your case.
Also note that the Stone of Orthanc software library, upon which the Stone Web viewer is built, can also be used to create alternative viewers that would download the full 3D volume. If you want to involve my research team in the context of a scientific project, don’t hesitate to get in touch with my team.
This is already part of our roadmap (“Handle mobile gestures”). Again, if you want this development come sooner, consider involving my lab in a research project.
Kind Regards,
Sébastien-
