I am replacing an older commercial PACS system with Orthanc.
The old system has a nice feature that I would like to suggest in Orthanc’s Stone Viewer.
For CR [x-ray] modalities, it would be ideal that when dragging a series into the viewer, all series are available stacked together (happening behind the scenes).
So that when you scroll, the next series is automatically available and appears. And you can scroll in an infinite loop through all CR series without having to drag each one individually into the viewer.
Most often, CR series are one instance (image) each. If there are 10 views (almost always anatomically related), it is very tedious to drag every series into the viewer over and over. Click and drag detracts from the image interpretation and clinical interpretation. Your eyes dart back and forth between the current image and going back to drag the next series over.
[Imagine if you had to drag every individual image over in an MRI study – similar hassle with CR studies]
Please let me know if this feature already exists in the viewer.
Alternative option would be to create an “ALL” series for any study. “ALL” would behave in this same way [infinite scrolling of all series sandwiched together] and is not restricted to just CR studies.
Thank you for your consideration.
