Space in patient name showing as ^

Dear All,

Anyone have idea on why the patient name space showing as ^? We have a reader sending to two destinations and it only happens in orthancs. I have tried changing character set but still the same.

That’s simply the way Person Name (PN) are stored in DICOM (ftp://dicom.nema.org/MEDICAL/Dicom/2014a/output/chtml/part05/sect_6.2.html).
You other reader maybe decide to hide these characters. Orthanc doesn’t.
