any advice of what version of postgresql version is better to use with orthanc server,
currently i am using 13.5 without major issues,

Any experience in straightforward postgresql upgrade without database corruption?

No, there is no recommendation nor testing on our side about the use of different versions of PostgreSQL against Orthanc.

As long as the version of the Orthanc database doesn’t change (which is the case since Orthanc 0.9.5), the upgrade should be fully transparent:
