PostgreSQL 11.0 is now available

Hi everyone,

PostgreSQL 11.0 is available with a small optimization specific to the advanced storage plugin.

Note that, for PostgreSQL, this version comes with an updated DB schema (rev 11) so check the Orthanc book if you have a large system with multiple Orthanc instances connected to the same DB.

It is available

Enjoy !

Hi, am having issues with latest Windows installers. I have set orthanc authentication and remote access as has always been in past years. With new versions it seems to stack with just orthanc as password and users even when I have changed everything in the configuration file.

Sometimes I even get error saying I didn’t set remote access and authentication users probably which I always have done for God knows how long.

So it either gets stack with orthanc as user and password or gives errors as described… Especially windows 11.

Need help pls

Hi Alain,

I had to roll back a system today and had a small issue with the downgrade script. I think it is missing $body$ LANGUAGE plpgsql;

Here’s a patch that worked for me

# HG changeset patch
# Subject: Fix unterminated dollar-quoted body in Rev11ToRev10.sql downgrade

The DeleteResource function opens its body with "AS $body$" but never
closes it, and it has no LANGUAGE clause. psql therefore treats the rest of
the file as part of the function body and fails with:

  ERROR: unterminated dollar-quoted string at or near "$body$"

So the DROP INDEX and the GlobalProperties update never run. This patch
adds the missing "$body$ LANGUAGE plpgsql;" after the final END;

Hi @James

Thanks for the patch. And I have also fixed my automatic test procedure that missed this error → this won’t happen again … hopefully :wink:

Hi @essel

Please, start another discussion topic since this is not related to PostgreSQL.
In this new discussion, make sure to provide info like logs and configuration files.
