Ping / Green Images

Hi everyone,

We have a new Orthanc install running on a Windows Server. At this point, almost everything is default with the exception of a few setting to get the Ultrasound machines talking to the server.

DICOM images upload from both Ultrasound machines, we can access the WebGUI and for the most part - it works great.

However, we have to small issues.

  1. Ultrasound images show up in a Bluish green and Pink color rather than black and white / grayscale - this is true in the Web Viewer and Stone Viewer. Any ideas?

  2. Is there a way to bulk download study images in JPEG format?

Thank you for any and all help,

Mark

Hello,

Please provide a sample DICOM image so that people can reproduce your issue independently:

Absolutely!

Here is a screenshot using the Osimis viewer - but it happens with the Stone viewer too.

One of our clients had a similar issue and they ended up needing to adjust the compression settings on their US machines. I’m not sure what they changes they made but might be worth a look on your end?

Hello,

I mean, we don’t need a screenshot, but an actual DICOM file.

Sébastien-

if you’re using wadors, try wadouri instead
(similar issue with OHIF viewer)

I received exactly the same images last week from a customer (images from a Mindray US device). When sending the images to Orthanc, the device was lowering the resolution and setting the PhotometricInterpretation to RGB while the pixels data actually contained YBR_FULL data. Adjusting the PhotometricInterpretation solved the visualization issue. The customer will try to contact its support service from the device to fix the export configuration.

Thank you all for being so responsive and for sharing several suggestions. This project is pretty far outside of our “normal” scope so, its been a challenge - you all have made it much better.

I’ll check those compression settings on the Ultrasound machine.
