Looking for a little hand holding. Hope someone can help me out.
For background, I’m a veterinarian, but was an “IT guy” in a former life. Complete newbie when it comes to PACS servers and Orthanc in particular.
My end goal is to away from using the cloud service that came with my DR plate because they charge me a god-awful amount to use it (several thousand dollars per quarter)
Where I am right now: I have downloaded and installed orthanc under a VM running linux mint, I have Successfully gotten it to bind to all interfaces so I can access it from my network.
I have manually uploaded some dicom files from local storage.
Specific questions: are there any veterinary plugins available? I seem to recall seeing something before I tried installing, now I can’t find.
I saw something about HM7 integration, not sure what that is, but feel like I need it.
Anyone out there migrated from Idexx Cornerstone to Orthanc? They lock everything down on the capture side as much as they can so hard to dig in to the guts.
Hello,
Not to my knowledge.
You might need HL7 integration to receive HL7 messages from an EHR and generate worklists in Orthanc. There is some sample code in this project but it is not 100% generic and might need some tuning - the doc is sparse since its mainly a tool we use internally
Hope this helps,
Alain
