How to install Orthanc 1.1.0 on Ubuntu Server 16.04.1?

From the repository installs version Orthanc 1.0.0.

It is necessary to build from source or is there a way to install from the repository?

The current recomended way is docker https://bitbucket.org/snippets/osimis/eynLn
But Debian packages seem to be in 1.1.0

The state of the official Orthanc package for Ubuntu and Debian is available at:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/yakkety/orthanc

https://packages.debian.org/en/sid/orthanc

As you will read on these pages, Ubuntu 16.10 (codename “yakkety”) will provide Orthanc 1.1.0, but Ubuntu 16.04 only ships Orthanc 1.0.0.

In the meantime, you can either build from source, use Docker, or use Vagrant.

If you want Orthanc version 1.1.0 to be backported to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS or Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, please contribute to Orthanc by following these instructions:
