HTTP panel settings ?

Hi all,

I would like to know if there is a projet to make a panel settings in the webexplorer of Orthanc to edit the configuration.json file through a HTTP page with a nice GUI (radio button, field by field text box...).

The edition of the configuration.json is very sensitive, if you miss a comma in the json, the file is broken and Orthanc won't start.

I think it would be very convinient to have a settings panel that would allow to edit settings, at least the most important of them like : AET name, Dicom and HTTP port and to declare the new AET for dicom communications.

I'm trying to push Orthanc to colleagues, but I have to explain them how to edit that file and this is not trivial for physicians.

Since Orthanc installation bring the webexplorer out of the box, I think it would be really nice to build a settings pannel that will edit the Json file (the modified json will by applied after reboot).

I was wondering if someone had a similar idea or could it be considered in the developpement map ?

Best regards,

Salim

Hello,

There is currently no such easy-to-use configuration panel for Orthanc, but this could definitely be developed by an external contributor as a plugin to Orthanc:

Feel free to contribute
