Frequent "idle" messages between postgres and Orthanc

Hi,

I am trying to find a way to decrease the disk activity on my NAS system, where I am running Orthanc too. I checked the IO logs and it seems that a lot of disk activity is generated by Orthanc and posgres:

It seems that Orthanc is constantly sending idle messages and all of these are logged, so the disks never stop, even if Orthanc isn’t actively importing or opening a patient.

Is there a way to decrease this disk activity or the logging frequency?

Thanks.

Hi,

It’s probably Orthanc saving its jobs registry every 10 seconds. You can either start Orthanc with the --no-jobs CLI option or wait for this patch to be included in the next release.
