Updating Othanc

Hi Team,

We previously installed Orthanc on Windows using the setup .exe for version 24.3.2 (OrthancInstaller-Win64-24.3.2.exe).

I now see that version 24.3.5 is released.

1. What is the process to upgrade while keeping our custom configurations, scripts and DICOM images? Do we simply run the newest .exe setup over the top of the existing Orthanc install?

2. Where can I find release notes for each new version? I didn’t find anything in the Releases section of this forum, or on the Mecurial page (although could have missed it in Mecurial).

You first have to uninstall the currently installed version (which should not remove any configuration file), then run the new installer. Evidently, make sure to regularly backup your configuration files.

The orthancteam/orthanc Docker images and the Windows share the same numbering scheme, and thus the same release notes.
