Hi there,
I’m pleased to announce to the community that we restarted the Orthanc-Tools-JS project.
These last months we focused on recovering the project from its legacy state. We achieved to re-write the frontend (which is the largest part).
As reminder Orthanc-Tools-JS is a web app built on the top of Orthanc, it’s mainly a new interface for Orthanc but it also includes a custom backend for user management and for some automation features.
Our goal of this project is to build a user-centred PACS on the top of Orthanc.
The main goal is to provide to hospitals a research PACS that will allow them to make mass retrieve of DICOM, mass anonymization, mass export for research purpose.
In short Orthanc-Tools-JS act as a DICOM ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) that could be used for retrospective / real world evidence studies.
Orthanc-Tools-JS is meant to be collaborative and could scale beyond this topic depending on community ideas and contributions.
The code is available in the same Github repository : GitHub - salimkanoun/Orthanc-Tools-JS: New web-based version of Orthanc Tools : GUI and high level DICOMs tools based on Orthanc APIs
Installation of OrthancToolsJS is made through docker compose : with a sample here Orthanc-Tools-JS/docker-compose.yml at master · salimkanoun/Orthanc-Tools-JS · GitHub
You will find more or less the same features than the 0.7 version but more stable. OHIF viewer and Stone Of Orthanc viewer have been upgraded to the latest version.
For now we are looking for advanced users or contributors capable to help us in the developement of OrthancToolsJS (in particular we need a web designer).
In the next month we are going to continue to focus on stability and hope to be able to build new features after the summer.
Best regards,
Salim Kanoun
