Remote Orthanc Windows test question

I have two Orthanc Windows installations identically configured for RemoteAccessAllowed. Both are on my NVIS peer-to-peer encrypted network (a kind of VPN network).

Host 1 is Azure, and Host 2 is Windows 10.

From Host 1, I can do a Test Echo and Search Studies from either Host 1 or Host 2.

However, from Host 2, the Test Echo only succeeds for itself, and it fails for Host 1.

Host 2 can ping Host 1.

Any ideas about why the Test Echo fails?

This looks like a firewall issue (“inbound security rule”). Check out that your Azure virtual machine accepts incoming connections on the DICOM port (4242 by default in Orthanc):
