Newbie Question about user authentication on orthanc config files

Hello I’m implementing orthanc in my organization and I have a question about user authentication.

I know my mistake is about syntax because with only one user orthanc works fine, its behind an apache server to do authentication and can be accessed and works fine internally or externally as long as I have a single user. as soon as I uncomment a second or third user in the config file and restart the service it crashes.

here is my config file, (only the relevant part) this one works:

// The list of the registered users. Because Orthanc uses HTTP
// Basic Authentication, the passwords are stored as plain text.
“RegisteredUsers” : {
“fakeuser1” : “fakepassword”,
//“fakeuser2” : " fakepassword2",
//“fakeuser3” : " fakepassword3"
// “alice” : “alicePassword”
},

The following does not:

// The list of the registered users. Because Orthanc uses HTTP
// Basic Authentication, the passwords are stored as plain text.
“RegisteredUsers” : {
“fakeuser1” : “fakepassword”,
“fakeuser2” : " fakepassword2",
“fakeuser3” : " fakepassword3",
// “alice” : “alicePassword”
},

So I respectfully ask for guidance in how I can fix my syntax, to make it work.

Hi,

It’s just a JSON syntax error: you should remove the trailing comma on the last line:

“RegisteredUsers” : {
“fakeuser1” : “fakepassword”,
“fakeuser2” : " fakepassword2",
“fakeuser3” : " fakepassword3",
// “alice” : “alicePassword”
},

thank you very much that works!
