But I have not able to download the executable software. Something happens and it does not get off.

If you’re familiar with docker, then I would encourage you to try that too - it’s very easy to use once there’s familiarity, and it’s use comes into it’s own when you’re attempting to see how Orthanc interacts with other DICOM nodes (such as other Orthanc containers)
