Hi Sebastien,
Are you aware of the emerging DICOM standard for REST store and query?
Store Over the Web by RESTful Services (STOW-RS)
ftp://medical.nema.org/medical/dicom/supps/PC/sup163\_pc.pdf
Query based on ID for DICOM Objects by RESTful Services (QIDO-RS)
no documentation yet
If Orthanc follows these standards as they develop, it will probably be the very first
implementation available when the standards get finalized.

Hi Aaron,
Thanks again for your suggestions! We are aware of the existence of WADO-RS and STOW-RS, and we are indeed planning to implement them into Orthanc. This feature is recorded in our product backlog:

We will also carefully follow the standardization of QIDO-RS. It is however difficult to tell you when these features will be available (probably not before several months), because of our limited amount of manpower.
