Database indexing

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there was a way to change the way images are indexed in the Database. Let me explain, when you access the folder where the studies are saved (for example “C:\Orthanc”) the studies are not recorded with an order criterion (or maybe it’s me who doesn’t understand it). It would be very convenient if Orthanc were able to create folders divided by year / month / day, on which it then saves the files. Is that a possible thing?

This is not possible with the standard storage plugin. You can however add a Python script that, for instance on the “stable study” event, will export the study to a folder that you build based on the Dicom tags.

You are most probably looking for the WebDAV support that is built in Orthanc.
