There are people using Orthanc on Raspberry Pi and others are running Orthanc on VMs with 48 cores. Some people will store a few studies requiring a few MB and others are storing 200 TB of data.
So no, there are no hardware requirements for Orthanc per se …
Most important aspects are probably: IO throughput and your DB performance if you are using Postgresql. But again, it all depends on what you want to do with it…
