# AWS S3 plugin now in Windows installers

Dear all,

[As requested by different persons](https://discourse.orthanc-server.org/t/pre-complied-orthanc-s3-storage-plugin/4233/8), I have just released version 2.4.0 of the [AWS S3 plugin for Orthanc](https://orthanc.uclouvain.be/book/plugins/object-storage.html). This new release is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Furthermore, precompiled binaries compatible with most GNU/Linux distributions are now available as well.

You can find precompiled binaries at the following places:

- [Backport Debian repository](https://orthanc.uclouvain.be/book/users/cookbook.html#obtaining-binaries), notably for Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04.

Furthermore, the [`orthancteam/orthanc:24.6.3` Docker image](https://orthanc.uclouvain.be/book/users/docker-orthancteam.html) is currently under the building process and should be available very soon.
